Real Science, Dedicated Biotech Company,
If you need a reliable, accurate, and proven technology, made by a manufacturer dedicated to producing world class medical quality testing equipment, then buy the system that is manufactured by a company that is serious about what they do.
In March of 2011 our uric acid test was analysed against the gold standard, Hitachi 7600 modular system, a massive machine weighing over 1600 lbs. and another competitive product in the marketplace. The samples were taken directly from the capillary (i.e. finger prick) of four different patients then the results were compared using the three different systems.
The manufacturer of our Uric Acid Meter are the inventors of the process to measure uric acid in the blood utilizing a portable handheld uric acid meter which tests for the main cause of gout. The manufacturer of our Uric Acid Test was founded in 1999 and aims to produce products of the highest quality and level of customer satisfaction. They are a global biotechnology company with worldwide distribution. They manufacture all their products in ISO 13485 and GMP approved facilities. The meter is CE approved for sale in the European Community.
Our Uric Acid Meter does actually does two things and two things well, it accurately measures the Uric Acid and Glucose levels found in your blood. In 2005 Scientists analyzed the clinical accuracy of our system and reported their findings in the Clinical Biochemistry Journal. They concluded that the meter was an acceptable diagnostic device that provides accurate uric acid and glucose measurements.

NOTE ABOUT URIC ACID TEST RESULTS-
Readings between 3.5 and 7.2 mg/dL are considered within normal values range. However most physicians recommend that mens levels need to be below 6 mg/dL to control your symptoms and eliminate the risk of gout flares. Actual ranges may vary slightly among different laboratories and tests. Talk to your doctor about the meaning of your specific test results. Levels higher than this can be the result of chronic gouty arthritis but may also be from Acidosis, Alcoholism, Diabetes, Hypoparathyroidism, purine rich diet, excessive exercise and various other causes. Always check with a doctor to isolate the cause.
Please note: None of the handheld Uric Acid Meters currently sold on the world market have passed the FDA medical device exemption guidelines. However, this system has been sold and used effectively throughout the rest of the world for over a decade. For more details see Warranty page.
